How Solar Panels Contribute To a Better Environment

by Khirol HazwanDecember 13, 2016

Global warming and climate change are getting more spotlights lately due to several things that happened in the world this year. One instance which happened that caught the attention of many is the bleaching of the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Because of this, several people are doubling their efforts to combat these problems. In fact, a number of them are turning to solar panels and solar energy to conserve the environment.

The price of solar panels in the Philippines and other countries all over the globe is getting more affordable so that the number of people that can access it will grow. Find out what they can contribute to the environment by reading them below.

Reduces Need for Finite Resources

Today, fossil fuels are very much being used to produce energy. They may be abundant at the moment; however there is no telling exactly when the world will run out of these fuels, particularly since people seem to be burning through their supply already. They are also non-renewable and very expensive to extract from the world’s natural resources – which then leads to possible unrepairable damages to the environment as well as financial infrastructures.

On the other hand, solar energy in the form of solar panels is one kind of renewable energy. People can turn to the sun to power their private homes and their enterprises. After all, the sun’s energy is renewable. It can produce up to 173,000 terawatts per second and can be used time and time again which cannot be said the same for fossil fuels.

Lessens Water Pollution

Solar photovoltaic cells which can be found in solar panels do not require the use of water in order to generate and produce electricity. This is actually the greatest but least talked about environmental remunerations of solar because other manufacturing processes need water to function.

Traditional geothermal and biomass power plants as well as coal-fired and natural gas facilities require huge amounts of water in order to run their operations. They use it as a cooling requirement which inevitably causes water pollution.

Solar panels and solar energy would not cause the same problems as these traditional facilities because again they do not require water. Furthermore, operating solar facilities will not cause a strain the water supply of other nearby establishments such as drinking systems and agricultural places.

Reduces Air Pollution

Fossil fuels – the traditional source of energy – contribute highly to global warming, climate change, and the decreased in overall air quality. This is because they emit harmful chemicals and greenhouse gasses such as methane and carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

Various governments and private bodies throughout the world have already pledged to lower down the number of greenhouse gasses they emit by turning to all forms of renewable energy, which include solar because they do not produce these harmful chemicals that add up to the world’s air pollution. In the US, for instance, solar facilities have been installed and expected to offset about 16.8 million metric tons of carbon dioxide.

As you can see, solar panels and solar energy has a high contribution in saving the environment from global warming and climate change.

Best Alternative Energy Sources for New Home

by Khirol HazwanSeptember 16, 2015

The world is recognizing the importance of alternative energy sources after the adverse effects of fossil fuels. There are number of benefits associated with alternative energy sources like energy security, sustainable development, existence for long period and environmentally friendly.

Alternative energy sources are real alternatives to fossil fuels. There are no side-effects from alternative energies like carbon dioxide emissions, effects on global warming when compared to fossil fuels. Alternative energy sources include solar, wind, geothermal, bioenergy, hydropower energy and ocean energy.

Now-a-days, most people are turning themselves to use alternative resources because of their cost factor and environmentally friendly nature. If you are building a new home, make sure that you have all the following alternative energy resources.

Malaysia Broadband Satellite Internet Provider Review

by Khirol HazwanSeptember 5, 2015

Malaysia internet user actually still have alternative for internet service provider. The common internet services are using cable or mobile 3G broadband. Another choice can be consider is Internet over satellite or satellite internet broadband.

Satellite Internet

Internet over satellite or satellite internet broadband service is the technology that provides Internet services and access via a low, geosynchronous orbiting satellite. The static positions of the satellite relative to the earth will allowing the satellite internet customer remain connected to internet at any time of day!

The signal latency is one serious drawback for satellite Internet access. All packet data transmitted and received will travel from the satellite internet consumer’s computer, through a transmitter, into Earth orbital space to the satellite then return. The round trip is around 45K miles, and can create a serious lag problem. Although many Malaysia satellite internet services provider can offer up to 1.5 Mbps downloads speeds, the average internet satellite speeds only closer to 512Kbps because of the latency.

Satellite internet access is also far from affordable for normal internet user at Malaysia. The satellite broadband service typically costs around RM2500 to RM4500 or more per month. This doesn’t include the satellite broadband equipment which can cost around RM7000 to RM9000 or more, and this is most often an upfront cost.

The positive review about satellite internet is you can setup the satellite internet access internet everywhere you want as long you can see the sky! This giving the great advantages for company that operated at remote location or far at ocean!

The fair review is many satellite internet broadband customers complain about slow or even no Internet access during inclement weather. However these interruptions are generally happen for brief period.

Since the small target user, there only a few Malaysia Broadband Satellite Internet Provider. The Satellite Internet Provider that can be considered is such as IPstar, Maxis, Celcom , or TMnet. Generally all is same, except for the price structure offered by each Malaysia Broadband Satellite Internet Provider. Choose what is suit best for you need!

The Five Best Digital SLR Cameras on the Market Right Now

by Khirol HazwanSeptember 5, 2015

The digital camera industry is one of the most competitive technology fields today. Most camera companies are struggling to outperform the higher and higher quality of camera smartphones now provided. However, what phones can’t provide and DSLR (digital single lens reflex) cameras can are high quality photos that negotiate with almost all lighting and movement. The price of these cameras continue to fall, yet their quality continues to increase – much to the joy of more serious and professional photographers.

Today, Canon and Nikon continue to provide the highest quality of professional cameras on the market.  It should be no surprise that only Canon and Nikon cameras populate the list of the five best Digital SLR cameras currently available. Although Canon and Nikon are separate companies, the design of their cameras are remarkably similar. Where the differences lie are each camera’s internal features.

Canon EOS 5D Mark III

Canon EOS 5D Mark III

While this camera is over three years old, it continues to provide a high quality experience. This camera boasts a high processing speed and its raw, unprocessed pictures are still of a higher quality than most smartphone pictures. At minimum, 22 MP frame images can be captured from this camera. One downside to this model is its JPEG output and its ISO handling. JPEGs are the most common and the most workable digital file format, but when other file formats are converted to JPEG, the image often decreases in quality. Unfortunately, the Mark III also suffers from this conversion error. However, users can decrease the effect by tinkering with the camera’s settings. The same can be done to correct the camera’s mediocre handling of higher ISOs.

Nikon D3300

Nikon D3300

This digital camera was released over a year ago and for its price (just a few hundred dollars), packs a decent punch. It’s a better fit for those who are beginning their professional photography journey. This camera has a 24 megapixel sensor, meaning exquisite detail can be found in the photos. Unlike the Mark III, this camera more seamlessly coverts its native images to JPEG. It also is capable of handling quality JPEG photos at an up to 1,600 ISO with minimal flaws. After 1,600 ISO, you will need a booster to get optimal performance. You can survive without the booster though until around 6,400 ISO. A significant downside to this digital camera model is its processor speed. It is said to feel quite slow compared to the other professional camera’s in the market. However, in comparison to camera’s that are around the same price range, the Nikon D3300 processor is faster.

Canon EOS Rebel T3i

Canon EOS Rebel T3i

This 4 year old camera is a great starter for those who take frequent still-shots. However, considering its age, the Rebel T3i is not the best at capturing action shots. The digital camera’s JPEG output is clean cut until 1,600 ISO. You will then distinctly notice the fuzzing of detail. However, you can fix this by adjusting the settings.

Canon EOS 6D

Canon EOS 6D

This camera hails a lightweight frame, Wi-Fi, GPS, an excellent video and image quality, even through JPEG conversion and at an ISO above 1,600. Unfortunately, this camera lacks flash and other standardized digital camera components. This is a turnoff, especially considering you can get another camera on this list with more features at a few dozen dollars more.

Canon EOS Rebel SL1

Canon EOS Rebel SL1

One of the lightest models on this list, the Rebel SL1 is sized for those who have smaller hands. It’s preferable for those who are just beginning their photographer journey. Internally, there are few distinct qualities this camera has to rant or rave about. Nonetheless, you’ll get a higher quality of photos from this camera than most smartphones on the market and compared to other entries on this list, it’s very cheap.

Whatever camera you choose to buy, make sure to purchase one that fits your skill level and budget. Otherwise, your purchase will just act as a dust collector as you search for something better. The five best Digital SLR cameras article hopefully can give you a hint how to choose your own camera.
